CIS Prime Parameter Data
CIS Prime Parameter (PP) data are onboard calculated moments of the ion distribution functions, from the CODIF and the HIA instruments, transmitted every spin (4 sec.). Calibration factor corrections, conversion to physical units and coordinate transformations into the GSE system are then performed on ground. They are given in CDF files, and are also supplied to the CSDS, where the CIS Summary Parameter Data (1 minute resolution) are also available. For a description of the content of the CIS Prime Parameter and Summary Parameter data, please refer to the CSDS Users Guide.
These numerical CIS data are to be used in association with the CIS ion spectrograms, available on the present Web Server.
